2.0 V6 ignition cuts out when driving

My 2003 2.0 V6 started cutting out on me today whilst driving.
It happened 5 or 6 times; the ignition cuts out and the battery and engine warning lights come on but the car restarts immediately.
I've taken it to my local F1 garage for diagnosis and quote but would like to know what to expect.

Hello Alex and :welcome: to the club.

What you are experiencing sounds like 'fuel filter separation' which causes a reduction in fuel pressure. There's lots to read about this on the forum, just search for 'FFS' or 'orange clip' (which is what you need to solve the problem). :}
