Oilpump housing complete strip down KV6

Is it possible to dismantle the complete oilpump housing of an KV6? I would like to clean the pump and repair the thread of the oil pressure switch. That would be easier if the two parts are separated. Is there an additionell sealing between the two parts?

You'll be pleased to know Carsten that both removal and overhaul of both the pump and pressure switch are described and illustrated fully in the Haynes manual. You know the one don't you? It's the book which some say is good only for the dustbin! :D :rolleyes:

You should be able to find one cheaply on e-bay. Good luck and let us know how you get on. I don't think many people have tackled this before.
