Hi. I have an old mate that owns a late ZS. He's in his eighties and has asked me to have a look at the clutch pedal. Its a good couple of inches higher than the brake pedal. May even be higher but it works ok.
Does anyone know what the problem is as I would have a problem driving it so he must find it a bit difficult as well.
Thanks in advance. Steve

I believe they are all like that mate, it has been mentioned on car show reviews a few times. And i've not heard of a fix for it. Lee.

On my 75 ,there is a plastic lump limiting the movement (one inch above the brake pedal)

If it's some discomfort for you,you can always add one:

Thanks for the replies guys. Next time he comes over here I'll take a pic of it as it looks really ridiculous! If it were me, I'd get it off and get the angle grinder and welder out.
he has a 75 tourer as well so its my luck he'll arive in that! Steve

You need a rubber dice and a drop of glue ...that's all :shrug:

Hi, you will find the clutch pedal is higher on all the 1.6 & 1.8 models and you will feel free play at top af about 1 to 1.1/2" and there is a modified bracket you could fit to take up the large free play and dark ice designs do these for £4.99, diesel is a lot lower, hope this helps:}

Many thanks for that Kerthan. They have a nice pic of it too on their site.
I'll have a go at that I think. He will be very pleased!

We do indeed! The absolute first product we ever sold, some 6 years ago. :)

It's a very common issue, 4 out of my 6 ZSs have had it.
