How'do folks :}

I'm getting close to having the funds to repair my car :D (failed head gasket)

which gasket kit is best to use :shrug: Payen or MLS ?

if it's of any relevance - engine hasn't cooked and coolant has leaked into oil

also is it worth fitting a VVC inlet manifold ? and would i buy a VVC head gasket repair kit ? (i'm assuming it would only be the inlet gasket would differ)

and would this be a direct replacement :smilie_re: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-TF-LE500-HARDLY-USED-26K-COMPLETE-INLET-MANIFOLD-ZR-1-4-1-8-UPGRADE/231906139371?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D35391%26meid%3Dc4477292872b42409b91fc2e4277 6388%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D2820 41562678

Gasket choice comes down to liner heights, it there is any doubt the elastomer is more forgiving. I only use Payen ones. The vvc manifold is quite heavy and should really have the steady bars fitted if you go that route

cheers ;)

Payen it will be then i think - i've read different opinions r.e the MLS being the "ultimate fix" - but also that it should only be used on a new condition engine (flush liners)

and i may leave the VVC inlet manifold for now - get her running first, then consider the options - they do look the part fitted :drool4:
