Apologies for reoeating myself but i can't get the search function to work. French Mike has provided valuable insights, including soldering the offending item. However, still leaks after a few days, back to square one. The whole bleed nipple and housing, whatever it's called, is now ropey,so I'm looking for a fresh one on 6mm pipe as the final solution ... but where from?

Hi, you have to know the exact diameter (can be 6 or 6.35 mm) and contact
any mechanic using to replace them ....(Andy willi ie )
Cut it and fit a connector :
