Door barrel help

Well, love these cars and just bought a very tidy 75 Classic. Only problem I could find was that driver door key does not lock or unlock although remote works fine. Have flushed barrel withwd40 but still fails - key freely turns either way but to no effect. Anyone have any ideas , related costs or threads / how go's etc.

remove door card.......

after that remove the sound profing carefully...

now you can put you hand and try to find the dogbone piece that stays between the star shape place that makes the lock work with the key...

without this small piece it wont turn the lock...

while there also check the white spring that should have the barrel in it to work also...

but that i think is ok because you can open the door...
