Having experienced a few water leaks with the R75:

one of the body metal seams at the rear boot -silicon bead sorted that

rear lamp lens-new foam gasket from club member- sorted that:}

the big one: front drains of the sun roof have weak connectors as well as close to 90 deg angle toward the base of their run-so much water can come in that it will go anywhere after the carpets have soaked up many many gallons. Depending which way the car is inclined it will go anywhere on the floorpan front and/or rear, but essentially comes in to begin with from behind the pedal board area (or the equivalent on the near side) -sorted by fitting, (after seats and carpet all out), proper/better connectors as per thread on forum.:}:}

:mad:Now, following the recent monsoons we've had in eastern Scotland a new water leak at the driver's side after the car parked with strong camber to driver's side. Coming in close to bonnet/boot release switches and onto driver's footwell close to door seams. What the .... is it this time? Door rubber seals worn? Front windscreen imperfections? Hose test did not seem to confirm those.

Back to the sunroof. Tested with water. Carefully pored water into side channels of sunroof with sunroof open - ...immediately ponded at driver's side. I then "rodded" the driver's side front sunroof drain with a good length of thin, flexible steel cable (old inner from a motorcycycle speedometer drive). Oh what relief as presumably the slight blockage (gunk off the trees?) cleared and water ran freely from behind the front wheel arch. So not a fail at (the difficult to access) front drain connectors but a blockage in the drain at the driver's side itself which presumably backed up and came inside as described above. That's my theory anyway.;)
