Unfortunately our meets at barneys will have to stop for the time being as the cafe is no longer open I would like to thank everyone for supporting and making these a great meet we were getting 20 cars plus which is excellent for a meet that started as a few friends getting together :bowdown: We do have a few new venues in the pipeline but until ive sampled the food to make sure it fit for purpose ( could take some time :D) these meets are on hold hopefully it wont be to long before a new venue can be found take care everyone :}

Yes noticed it was closed when i passed Tuesday morning
The car park seemed busier than when it was open
Shame really because it was a central meeting point for most of us
But hey ho it will be a change to meet elsewhere

Here are a couple of cafe's that I know of in the Linc's/ East Yorkshire area:}. Can't vouch for the food in all of them though
Langrick cafe, Langrick. Though last time I passed it it might be called the railway.
Jane's Cafe near Blyth Services
Darrington cafe on A1.
Of course these are all greasy spoons:getmecoat:

Ive had some feedback from the Humberbridge country hotel which is at the Barton side we are more than welcome to spend some summer nights at this venue the hotel will be doing food coffee etc as i know we all like to snuffle our tea down then have a chin wag the menu looks reasonable and caters for every taste I'm looking forward to this one watch this space :D

Thought I'd revive this one!! Chatting at work someone said they'd been to the "new" cafe at Caenby corner and had a fantastic meal. It's the old little chef behind the garage not the building opposite the garage - called Meat Inc!

http://www.meatinc.co.uk/

Not been myself - yet - but menu looks good......

Only use the cafe if passing by, no idea about the traction engine rallys but the parking area is big enough to hold such an event.
