Hello to all,
I didn't know where to put the question, but i cannot see any of the embedded images from Photobucket, only the image with "Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting" and i tried lots of stuff (Firefox add-on, Opera add-on, Safari safe mode, but nothing worked).

I need to follow one How-to for installing FBH but i cannot see the images.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Regards

PB decided to up their subscription to over £300 to allow hosting pictures, as not many paid, the pictures are now removed:shrug: You'll have to find the author of the pics you need & see if they can be recovered:o

The photos will still be on PB server (mine were... for a day) .. I have moved all my photos to a server in Germany ... 1&1 .. very good .. very cheap ... and closed my PB account ... THAT does not stop PB from emailing me suggesting I upgrade my account (despite it now being closed) .. so I would suggest ... if you are going to close it ... change the email first!!

On another Rover forum a member has found a way round it to show the existing photos.

I’ve tried it on some of my posts on that forum and it works.

If you insert ~original into the end of the photo address it will now show the photo.

I will now try on this forum to see if it works.

Alternatively, you can use Firefox as the browser and install the "Photobucket embed fix" add on.

:smilie_re: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/?src=ss

This will then display the images as normal, again. ;)

If you prefer Chrome, I believe they also have an add on.

Just realised I had already tried this last night and it does work

Insert. ~original In front of [IMG] on the image address.

I can see them using Firefox with the add on, as I mentioned in Post 6.

Try downloading Firefox here (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/)
Once installed, then install the photobucket add on
https://outgoing.prod.mozaws.net/v1/c303674520c6ebbd6af678c59c54a53505455d09ab87d70a9d 4314b622caee04/https%3A//github.com/Ryan-Myers/photobucket-embed-fix

It should then display the images.

Hm, i already tried that with no luck... I just sent private message to the guy to ask him to upload images to another source. Crappy photobucket...

Sure does I’ve quoted posts and amended the text which allows the images to appear.
As the how to’s are locked maybe a mod could amend the text providing the images haven’t been deleted from photobucket they should reappear.

If the author alone had access to his HowTos, it would be so easy. I've asked several times for my recovered HowTos to be updated, but no results so far. So there are recovered HowTos in the wrong place.
