Could it be the wrong way round? Is there still enough coolant in there?

You may have disturbed something whilst changing it over where in Ayrshire are you?

Try disconnecting your maf.

I’m in Kilmarnock and fitted as per your nstructuon with brass part towards engine, topped up tank with coolant and used bleed screw until steady flow

If you removed the manifold make sure you plugged the MAP sensor back in and the fuel rail sensor, both of these would trigger the engine management light, MAP SENSOR is fitted on the drivers side of the manifold and is often overlooked when putting stuff back together.
Oh I just remembered I’m supposed to be on my holidays lol:cool:

Hi, you could check and clean the connections to the MAP sensor and fuel rail.

try a battery reset for 10min

That will reset the ecu and if it was anything serious it will come back again if not then dont worry.

No problem... if it occurs again it would be worth getting the codes read

If it happens again try cleaning the plug connections and check the wiring going to the LP fuel pressure sensor - it sits on top of the fuel filter.
