Hi just been checking air filter and pcv filter
air filter clean
but there is no pcv filter would this be a problem or should i fit one

When you say there is no PCV filter do you mean the actual filter itself is missing or the entire cartridge?, in any case YES you should have one.

I think it is just the filter that is missing the casing is there held in by 4 bolts
not long had the car and going over service items

Maybe you have the filterless vortex type PCV?

Hi i have put it back together now
and have ordered a filter
did not know there were two types when i searched the forum
will take apart next weekend and will take pictures then and post on here
the wifes 1.6 hdi has no filter in the pcv just a relief valve

up date on pcv filter
looks like i have the upgraded bmw one fitted

i have uploaded picture of my pcv
with a new filter which i do not need now
the bmw upgrade one can be got new of ebay
which has all the parts with seals and new cover for £20.00
