Has yours stopped working with the front edge of the seat all the way down?

Just in case anyone else has this problem it's probably not the motor or switch, just a duff bit of design.
The motor drives a screw actuator, which sits in a steel trough, via a gearbox in an ally housing. The only "stop" mechanism is the trough being rammed against the housing(!) The motor / actuator assembly does this very firmly(!!)
After a while this activity chews particles of ally from the housing, add grease/grime and what we have here is a particulate clutch which will eventually get to the state where the motor cannot overcome it.

Solution: Remove seat, ensuring it's fully up before disconnecting. Remove tilt motor assembly (one bolt at the business end, starlok clip and pin at the other). Unsieze trough using brute force to rotate it. Clean end of tough and face of housing, apply a light coat of antisieze copper grease. Test motor across battery to prove it's actually OK. Reassemble.
