Hello Gavin,

Carlube ATF-U is one of several choices of fluid meeting specification N402 which is what MG Rover recommends. Here is a list (https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=1138687&postcount=23) which I compiled some time ago and may be of assistance.

Not on the list but I've done just about 100k miles using Millermatic ATF in the ZT Auto ( used by my local EX MGR dealer) .

so probably ok.. ;)

I'm always on the look out for additions to the list so thanks for this Chris. I am surprised that an ex-MGR dealer isn't using the X-Part product known to meet the correct N402 specification.

I've looked at the Millers Oils website and there are many fluids under the name Millermatic. For our JATCO transmission they list Millermatic ATF SPIII-WS. (http://www.millersoils.co.uk/source/datasheets/MillermaticATF-SPIII-WS_1.pdf) It doesn't meet N402 specification.

Has anyone tried the Gulf multi vehicle atf oil, eurocarparts stock it £44 normally but with the sale code (which they always have on) its around £28.

Had a quick Google and it seems to meet the n402 specs.

If it's any good I'll be down euros and getting a bottle for my 180.

I found this recent data sheet (http://http://www.gulfoil.ie/lubricants/Product%20Data%20Sheets/Gulf%20Multi-Vehicle%20ATF.pdf) Andy which does indeed quote N402 but only for Nissan, Rover 800 and VW Polo. It seems strangely outdated for 2012 when the 75/ZT had been around for thirteen years!

I also need to change the ATF on my 75. Where’s the most cost effective place to get 5L from? I see in ebay that there’s a company doing LR N402 for around £28 delivered.

That's why I asked if anyone had used it, I found that same data sheet and thought the same as you, very odd to not have the 75/Zt listed.
