I see various posts that only sensors are interchangeable between Rover 75 and e39 MAF, but i cannot find whole MAF OEM number of the BMW that uses the same sensor (F00C2G2029)..

So, can anyone send a list of MAF numbers that use F00C2G2029 sensor?
Thanks guys :}

Anyone with OEM numbers of compatible MAFs?

I recently bought a cheap MAF sensor on e-bay. Some suppliers list the different sensor numbers and full list of compatible vehicles with dates. Search 'Rover 75 CDTi MAf SENSOR.' Dunno if that will give you the info you want, because I am not sure what part a 'whole MAF' is.

Would be curios on how the cheap maf of ebay is fairing how long have you had it installed & how is the car performing.

3 days and counting - car going well, even better than on its previous good days! (It used to be like Jeckyl and Hyde!)We'll see how long it lasts. I've heard you're lucky to get 30,000 miles out of a Bosch one. I don't understand why solid state electronics in a cool airflow would ever fail.

Apparently a genuine Bosch R75/ZT fitment for £71 from ATP (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOSCH-AIR-FLOW-SENSOR-ROVER-75-2-0-CDT-CDTI/382134358419?epid=1409341642&hash=item58f8fb9193:g:54cAAOSwq9NZxKG8) (the image I suspect is generic)

Hi Steve, I havent bought anything from them in a few years now. Back then though, I had no issues. Feedback is lower than I recall, but looking at it, it doesnt look too bad on the whole, personally I would take a chance. In my mind they remind me of a German ECP (https://www.atp-autoteile.de/de). (their feedback isnt hugely different either on eBay).

Even if it did arrive and turn out to be in a BMW fit housing, you would then have cause to raise a complaint via eBay as not described. Perhaps negotiating a partial refund to save returning it and using just the insert. I cannot see a great risk providing, it is a Bosch unit supplied, and it turns up of course lol. The last item I had from them was an alternator for my old Passat arrived in 4 or 5 days via DHL - which is good considering I normally have to wait for 4 to 5 days for most of my eBay items. :eek:

I can confirm that BMW e39 MAF with BOSCH number: 0280217533 contains the sensor that we need. :)

Luckily, it is approximately 50% cheaper than BOSCH MAF for 75 :)

Thank ya all

Hi Dragan
When you removed the insert what number does it have on it, could you also put a photo up and a link from where you purchased from please.

Hey Arctic, sure.

Here is the pic that compares old one (upper) and new one from the BMW MAF (lower), you can see that numbers are equal (F00C2G2029) and in the background you can see the BMW MAF box.

I bought it from a local store, but it can be found on Amazon for between 90-100$.

I am glad that these tiny hints can help our machines a lot :)
Changing MAF improved the power a lot, but it still suffers a power loss. I'll do a basic service these days, to see if it comes back to previous state...
