I have a broken front spring, was OK when parked, went to move it and one is broken.
However are these too cheap to be any good? Seems ridiculously cheap to me..........

And should I replace the top bearings at the same time?

That does indeed sound far too cheap for a pair for my liking , and I have never heard of the make :shrug:
Yes , whilst you have them off I would replace the top bearings . After fighting to undo the clamp nuts it makes sense :}

They didn't fit because you have a ZT, and not a 75

The springs bluedanny has will not be suitable for your 75 ;)

TBH the one's you linked to will be better than broken springs, and certainly better than fitting ZT springs :getmecoat:

For genuine front springs, have a look HERE (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-Diesel-V6-Front-Coil-Spring-Green-Purple-Genuine-Factory-OE-Saloon/371556056749?fits=Car+Make%3ARover%7CModel%3A75&epid=1347430359&hash=item5682777ead:g:F4QAAOSw-z9ZwkZ9)

You pay your money and take your choice really ;)

Yes I’ve now looked into this and you are right Brian.
The eBay ones in your link are the ones I’ll go for, thanks.

Sounds a bit on the cheep side, I suspect they have the same diameter of steel bar but that the bar will not have been put in torsion by twisting the Steel round whilst making the coil.
I seem to remember there being an advert on eBay for Rover front springs under £30 a piece thing they green and brown. They would be an ideal spring for you. Yes change the bearings every time you have the springs off. If you are happy and feel confident just buy the races not the full plates easy to change.
Be warned top bearings securing bolts are not very good. I usually change the trapped bolts and replace with HTS bolts. The ones on the bearing plate are prone to sheer.
Best of luck it is not that bad a job to do. I still do my own at passed retrial age a broken back and arthritis in all my joints worst is knees and fingers. Takes me about 45 mins a side.
Note I have a stand Spring compressor with foot pedal, so the struts come off as a unit then Spring is removed it is tight but can be done.
Kind regards
Alan
