rear ns electric window aggro

Hi every so often the rear ns electric window has a mind of its own it will fully open on its own anybody had this? and what was the cure,regards.

Sounds a silly question, but did you press a button?

Pressing one of the window button's breifly will automatically open the asociated window. This is a configurable option on T4.

If you know all about this and are having problems then it's worth pulling both the drivers and the affected window's door pannel switches out and giving them a good clean and checking for any shorted/chaffed wiring.

Next step would be the good ol' plenum drains (see PDF links in my Signature for info on this).

If all else fails then it may be time to start systematically removing pannels and interior finishings to see if you can fault-find yourself. If this seems to much then ask a local garage, perhaps an Ex-MGR dealership who can use T4 to see if the OBC has logged any faults that may relate to the window.

Report back any fault-codes that may be produced before shelling out on any repair work as most of the time the repairs are easily done/fixed at home.
