Last year the weather was glorious.
Wife was brave and held a tarantula in her hand after paying a couple of quid on one of the stalls for the animal sanctuary I think.
But, by far the funniest thing was the "Star Turn" fire eater who's show was just one catastrophe after another. His flame retardant suit was a bit short in the leg. His unicycle bike ride had me in stitches as he lit a fire by the peddles in his unicycle, I know I shouldn't laugh but he was miked up and every time he peddled and his ankle went through the flame his commentary was interrupted with "ouch".
Brilliant...

As per last years event, can i suggest we aim to meet up in the car park in Ilkley centre around 8.45 - 9.00am.
The post code for the car park is LS29 9DW or if looking on Google maps it is listed as 'Bistrot Pierre car park Ilkley'.

Howdy folks. Looking forward to Monday.

Been tidying the garage (yes the boss has let me get into my garage) ... and I've come across the un-opened top engine gasket set for my old K series 1.8 petrol Mark I Rover 75. There's also the complete set of stretch bolts and even an oil filter. Not sure why but there's also 2 camshaft cover gaskets (they're £19 each)

I was thinking of popping them on eBay but if anyone wants them how about £30 ONO ... if you could use them drop me a line and I'll bring them along.

Didn't actually take any of the cars this time but there were some nice examples, Pretty certain Bluejon will have plenty. We stopped off at Ilkley moor for a quick photo (1st one). then a few of the many marvellous parades and a pair of oldies not braving the weather and Bluejon doing what he doesn't have the courage to to to Jans face :)
Great family day out, Dog show, big funfair, good (and bad ) food. spiders, snakes, birds of prey. The main attraction this year was girls performing acrobatics on horseback which although wasn't perfect was a great improvement on last year, good family day out and free if you take the car to show.

Many thanks Andy for arranging with the organisers for us to attend this event,Jan & I love these kind of meets,not too big,but lots on show,spot on mate.

The rain held off for most of the time we were there,great meeting up with Friends again,but like always,time seems to go all too quickly,nevertheless a fantastic day thoroughly enjoyed we are sure by all who attend,many thanks again much appreciated.
