Wiper issue

The windscreen wipers on my contemporary Se won’t switch off.
I’ve disconnected the sat nav drive when I got to work but no difference. Any advice would be most appreciated

Ta Mark I’ll give that a shot tonight, I moved the car this morning to move my TF into its place ( getting clutch done today) and they were fine. Started up to go to work and prob started

Please reply with whether cleaning accumulated dirt off the wiper motor contacts with a toothbrush and WD40 sorts out the problem or not for future occurrences.
