scratched windscreen

I have a light scratch in my windscreen, as a result of the windscreen wiper falling off (!) mid-arc, and the wiper arm cutting a light groove into the surface of the screen (doh!)

Anyone aware of any special windscreen paste/polish that can buff out the scratch, just as you'd polish out a lacquer scratch with T-cut?

Most Windscreen replacement Companies will repair scratched Glass free of Charge through Insurance Company without you having to pay unless beyond repair.
