Hi folks, I have got a bit further with my Xtrons system installation and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
I am however struggling on the Navi which I can't get to work. I know the GPS is recieving as it shows good signal from the satellites and it correctly locates home on a Google map and map coordinates.

But if I try Navi setting I get the following message (on picture).

Also, regarding 3g. Will any 3G dongle work, (say £15) or does it have to be a £30 Xtrons one? And do they need a sim card?

Thank you all! Rich82368

Have you looked in the settings in case you need to point the unit to the cards .exe file ?

If not where is the card from does it have all the necessary files ?

Thanks - will investigate. The card came with the unit from a really nice seller. I'd be really surprised if I'd been sold a pup, but obviously no guarantees...!

In that case probably just need to find the .exe file in settings

That looks like your license folder is missing or has become corrupted.

Success!!

I found my way to APK installer, uninstalled then reinstalled. Long wait.... Seems to work! It's up to date with current road closures etc too 🙂82376

Glad you got it working, still got to get the traffic working on mine.

Does it need a 3G dongle and SIM card for that to work, theoretically?

I've got mine tethered to my phone, it does need a connection of some sort.

I think it must have got it by being within reach of the home WiFi...? Magick.

I think I'll investigate getting a 3G dongle.... Do you happen to know whether any android one would suffice? Or does it have to be an Xtrons one do you think?
Thanks!

Sorry I don't know whether a generic one would work or not.

If it's like the navalls it would need to be an xtrons one purely because it has the drivers for the dongle.

Probably not worth the gamble in that case. Cheers bud.

I’ll never use another satnav installed on a car, much prefer satellite view Google maps on my phone, it’s fantastic

You're probably right, and that's what I've used for ages, but I get annoyed by having stuff fitted that doesn't work!!!
