I need to replace the clutch on my 75 Diesel. Is it worth getting rid of the DMF & putting in a conversion to a standard flywheel. I have noticed there are a few conversion kits on the market.would i lose smoothness? Any advice would be appreciated.

The flywheel is usually ok when fitting the clutch they should be able to check it, i have seen quite a few over 200k on clock still on same flywheel

Personally i would not fit a solid one

I saw one with over 400k on the clock before it was changed. :}

I'm with Dave - I wouldn't fit a solid flywheel either on these cars.
