View Full Version : Alloy Wheel Centre Caps DTC000150 or 57mm Alternatives?

Hi there

I am missing 2x (3x if including the spare) wheel centres for my 2005 Facelift Rover 75, 16" Fork Alloy Wheels. The centres are DTC000150 (57mm diameter).

Does anybody know of a source for these, or know of any alternatives that fit and could then be adapted to suit, ie MG / land Rover or whatever. They could be faced off and painted (not sure what paint I should use for best match) and then add new replacement badges.

The car looks a bit shoddy with them missing...

Just been out to check the size, but I get 55mm
available on eBay Item 185949632386 and 166077143607.
Showing size as 61mm and 55mm, but I sure these are all the same.
Item 304271709804 are for brand new.

Hi Stuart, Thank you for getting back quickly.
I think that these are a specific size to suit the 16" diameter fork spoke and similar period wheels for the facelift cars.

There was some discussion here,

https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=236896&page=2
but of course all of the links have expired and the Rimmer Bros reference has changed as they have removed the DTC000150 from the listing.

From my knowledge

> The DTC10054 are 55mm diameter and too small and the clips do not engage either (I have these on my 16" Union Alloys / Winter Tyres).
> I also have 15" Comet wheels that take also the 55mm centre cap.
> My 16" Forked Spoke wheels measure up to take a 57mm diameter cap.
I thought that I had caps to swap around, but alas, they are all too small.

Unfortunately I need centre caps to stick the sticker on to...
Hence my question about alternatives that fit, then I can sand the face off to bare, then paint to suit, and then add the stickers as you suggest.

Or possibly take a punt on something like these and some stickers

Thank you for those links. I had missed that ebay listing for the genuine caps, but they are rather expensive. In the mean time I think that I might have found some, but with the older logo, so fingers crossed that they actually fit when I try them...

Well, you learn something every day!! I have a set of 4 Spoke Alloys and indeed they are with 57mm caps. £50 seems a rip off for caps --- you can have the spoke wheels and caps for £90.
Good condition - came off my car at 30,000 miles.

On the face of it a complete rip-off but when you think it over maybe it won't be. What is the worth of a "last" set? A couple of quid each at an auto jumbler or such is our usual mark. Might be worth a punt to ask Rimmers, Austin Garages or College Motors to put pressure on X-Part to re-introduce.

You might look at this if they fit but have the pre-facelift logo.

Thanks, that is a good idea, that I will keep in mind.

Possibly for covers over some altered caps underneath to fit and grip.
They list diameters of 56mm and 58mm, so some work will be needed for them to fit and hold in the 57mm hole. Either judicious use of hot melt glue or some careful crafting, or used to refurbish some scrappy 57mm caps.

Hi Stuart.
Those are the early type badge not the face lift type.

I have a set of Rover ones & MG ones both need a tidying up, i also have the early type inserted badges once they have been touched up and cleaned, this will be undertaken over the weekend, then i will add them to the for sale section.

3-D printers will even do the colouring.

If you want nice graphics then just plain caps, paint and add stickers. Trying to incorporate the level of colour match and finish into a 3D print would be quite a task and with some high end kit.

Hi Arctic
Did you manage to get your wheel centres sorted for sale?
The 57mm DTC000150 wheel centres?
I am still on the hunt for some I now have 4 (3x facelift logo and 1x original logo), but all a bit scabby. I bought a set based on zooming in on a listing photo and found that it was 3x 55mm and 1x 57mm, although they were listed as 61mm, as that was what was assumed by the seller...
It is not just the OD of the round insert, but also the grip diameter of the lugs is different. I started a list to give more clarification, but I only have 3x types of wheels to reference - Not much of a list yet...
