Not my intention to confuse Kandyman sorry,
You would need Part Number: FPC000050 Catch assembly-bonnet.
Which is the Facelift MG release Lever/Button under Bonnet.
The reason for the Complete List as shown in Post 2 is that some parts have different Part Numbers to those on MK1 so not sure if they fit directly or need to be changed.
Im sure Alex may Know if they switch direct or anybody else who has changed out there.

Thanks for tidying up post 2 it makes a bit more sense now ;)

I'm hoping it's just a swap over of the Catch assembly.

Any one care to assist with a little How To :)

Hi.

Could you not fit a ZT one instead of a facelift one?

I'm guessing this is for the meshing that's also holding up my plans too :)

The Facelift one as you are most Probally aware does not come through the Grill area at all it only becomes visible with the Bonnnet released and then more of a push lever/button than the other Pull type which sits in Cutout in Cross Member.

You can see the Small push lever on the Cross member on the L/H side.

Strange as The Part number for this one 2005 model is differrent from the earlier ones, but it did change from S/No: 271837 which would appear to be the same on some Pre Facelift models. Im sure Ive seen it was moved from Grille on earlier Threads.

I may be getting confused here but don't forget the 'new' bonnet catch was also fitted to a great many mk1 cars as well. Its not just the facelift models that had the bonnet catch above the grille. I think it may have been 02 onwards but not sure

I think what you say is correct Ken - mine is 03 (MkI) and it has this 'new' type of catch.

The original bonnet pull that emerges from the grille was deleted in 2001 as part of the infamous Project Drive.

From late 01 all 75's came with the underbonnet pull - from start all ZT's had the underbonnet pull.

Ah-ha! Since taking delivery of my luvverly 75 on Friday, I've been trying the remote bonnet release and expecting to see a lever emerge from the grill a la the user manual illustrations. Now, after reading this, I realise it's the push release I have! Phew! Thought there was something wrong!

75 and Zt Owners Club to the rescue!

Been scratching my head over that one!
