This car is advertised as being the last mk1 ZT 260 built, but converted to mk2 looks just before it was being displayed on the Paris motor show (2004?).

It was sold by the MGR solicitors after the collapse in 2005.

It is now for sale in Sweden for about 13,000 GBP. How's that compared to UK prices? :D

I wonder if it is?- Because Black Olive had the last mk1 v8 I thought:confused:

Well, the one in this ad looks like a Mk2 but according to the seller it really is a mk1... Whereas Black Olive's V8 actually looks like a mk1 too...

As the ony differences were cosmetic surely this must be classed as a MK2?

Perhaps it's the 'first' of the MK2 LHD V8's :)

You just need to get the last 3 digits of the chassis number to find out... the last MK1 was 217

There were a few press cars faceifted to look like mark 2's . Judging by the ad and the colour it will be one of those- would be intersting to find the VIN number
Mines that last unmodified mark 1 off the line

Gosh thought that was another Twilight Chromactive for a minute then, but think it looks like Typhoon : Dark blue to over green travel
I only know of 2 other Twilight MK11's apart from mine, unless anyone's knows of another?

Thought I'l add the "List" for you to drool over:drool4:

Bittersweet Golden yellow with green ‘flip’
Moonshine Silver with shifting spectral highlights
Shot Silk Emerald with purple flip

Chromactive colours contain multi-layered pigment flakes with special reflective qualities.

Aurora Crimson to orange ‘travel’
Dark Fantasy Black to purple to bronze travel
Poseidon Dark blue to purple over olive travel
Twilight Brighter blue to purple travel

Kinetic colours demonstrate a subtle multi-layer colour effect.
Atmosphere Light to mid blue with gold highlights
Gulf Stream Smokey slate shifting to olive and grey-blue
Moody Blue Grey-blue with gold highlights
Sunspot Pearlescent yellow with ochre and citrus effects

Supertallic is a range of distinctive metallics, and micatallics for a pearlescent effect.
Aubergine Rich aubergine
Biomorphic Bright metallic green
Black Olive Luxuriant dark green with movement to black
Caledonian Lilac
Celestial Bright light blue
Chagall Warm strong mid blue
Chatsworth Elegant classic gold
Garnet Rich glowing red
Horizon Pretty light blue
Lagoon Colourful turquoise
Nightshade Lustrous black with blue highlights
Nocturne Greyed off mid-dark blue
Orange Grove Strong tangerine

here's some info on mine

I think Ive found further evidence available to support my original query

Ive just read Nics article and found this

Quote:
This may come as a surprise to Nick Young who is the owner of 211. This is a MkII ZT-T in another Monogram colour Shot Silk. Now, as I've mentioned before, the change from MkI to MkII happened at 217, with car 216 being a red MkI with MkII "clothes" on for some emissions work I was doing down at Millbrook for three solid days during the summer of 2004.

so given that 215 is a R75, 216 was facelifted and 217 was facelifted , that makes mine officially the last mark 1 off the line

so this one must be pre vin 214, and definitely a press car

Yes sorry Phil just realised Spectre and Typhoon are given a separate mention on the Xpower link.

Wonder why they are not included with Twilight Chromactive list?
Having said that the title list does say 2004 onwards !

Ooh and I've just edited my post #7 to read Typhoon instead of Poseidon;)
Not sure now looking at Fille's car ad again.
What colour does anyone else think it is?

Phil

I think it is Posoidon.

You're probably right Phil
I'd love to see my Twilight next to a Poseidon as its hard to tell the difference in photos.

It would be nice to see your twilight next to a typhoon and a poseidon, they are all a similar colour range... and it will make a nice picture too :)

from the top of my head, twilight is more bluish, typhoon has a turquoise flip, and poseidon is purple flip, but stand to be corrected- would be nice to see 3 260's lined up, one of each colour

We will have to have a bit of a move around as Jules and myself will be segregated to the V8 line up whilst the Typhoon's will be with the ZT's

I'd agree with this Steve
Twilight = blue/purple
Typhoon = blue/purple/turquoise
Poseidon = blue/purple/dark green

Typhoon is the most 'flippy', poseidon is almost like a toned down version of Typhoon.

Just talked to him on the phone. number 217. He has number 122 aswell. A basic model without any extras, meant as a base for racing in Scotland. Alan:lol:

I remember when I was at Phoenix of Coventry in 2005, they had a Rio Red ZT260 for sale with Mk2 bumpers etc but I was told actually a Mk1 as i noticed it had a rhoedium dash etc.
