The Red Lion Hotel, Station Road East, Whittlesford, Cambs, CB22 4NL.

Just up the road from me so there's a chance I can turn up!. Worth mentioning that access is from the east side of the station/railway line - if traveling west there is a right turn lane just after the BP/McDonald's roundabout.

excellent robert, thanks for making the effort. hopefully some friends of mine from the essex area meet will be bringing a selection of sd1s along to boost the numbers, including a very nice 5.3 litre vitesse!

thanks to swine flu, a mechanical breakdown, a traffic jam, a wedding, a p5 rally, and three holidays, the turnout was not massive this month.
still, double sd1 owner david cowie made it with his very nice 1977 2200TC, in sd1 pendelican white. we were well overdue for a p6.

Enjoyed my 1st visit to the Meet at Whittlesford .

Very friendly bunch ! I'll be there again , but not September as i'll be on holiday .

I think my Y reg 75 Connie may be a little boring for your meet :)
but as a lad I owned two SD1's in the mid 80,s (Ish). I wish that I had some pictures but I have nothing from those days which is a bit of a shame in hindsight. Your meet is 40 mins of country road wiggle from me so I would quite like to pop along in the near.

if you are interested in rovers, come along - even owning or bringing a rover is not a neccessity, we've had several people turn up in something else. the enthusiuasm for the marque is what brings us together. and as a former sd1 owner you're already in my good books because i've got three:bowdown:

I was being tongue in cheek , i love my car honest and dont forget i will have one of the most outragously over the top pimped
(but standard from the factory) electrical items there. Not to mention close to pointless :)

I dont think ive ever mentioned most if my old ' Rover group ' cars on the 75 forum because they werent 75's but thinking now theres quite a list.
Roughly in order

SD1 V8-S
SD1 VP
MG Metro
MG Metro turbo
2 Montego's one auto one estate
and the worst junk pile I ever owned in my life a brand new
Rover Metro in White , the original Friday car !

Best one by a mile the MG Metro turbo a go-cart with 4 seats and red seat belts.
(excluding the V8's of course)

Nice little turn out today at The British Queen pub in Meldreth. 9 cars including a Nissan Micra. 2 75's, 1 ZT, 3 SDi's, 1 P4 and 1 P6. Chilly in the car park but the pub was nice and cosy. Will get my pictures by tomorrow. Next meet first Saturday in March at 2pm. I'll be there with Blue Thunder.

This meeting is still going in case anybody was wondering, Kev the OP is very busy with various Rover clubs so doesn't get on the forums as much these days.

I regularly attend in my 75 tourer as well as Bob in one of his stunnng MG's so if you'd like to come over to one of the regular monthly meets please do so. As mentioned previously, all Rovers/MG's welcome.

We also have a Facebook page which I shall post a link to shortly, hopefully I can meet up with some of you soon.

As promised, one early warning coming right up. The next regular monthly meet will be Saturday 6/8 from 1400 onwards. Location is The British Queen, Meldreth. All Rovers and MG's welcome.

The pub serves food until 1400 so if you wish to have a feed up please arrive early, also the pub serves a range of hot drinks as well as beer so all tastes can be accommodated. The pub is very family friendly with a large field behind which sometimes has pigs and sheep in a small pen so feel free to bring the little ones along if you wish. There is a children's menu if you are eating.
