Want to replace gaitor. :shrug:Could anyone tell me how to remove gear lever knob, haynes say a sharp upward pull but had no luck cdti club SE 2004

original ones are on tight, if it is hot inside the car this weather the shaft will expand a bit making it harder. my sunblind switch post below shows shaftvwith gearknob pulled off
