Have just bought a new TV/GPS Radio head unit for my ZTT, as existing monitor is playing up. When fitting the new one does it need to be coded to the car or is it a straight swap? Probably a dumb question, but only just bought this car and am not used to having so many electrics! Haynes manual doesnt say how to do it, so stuck now.

If you are just swapping the TV unit in the dashboard out then there is nothing to code up - it is just a straight swap.

There is, though, a choice of headunit versions (ie age, widescreen/4:3 etc) with regard to the HighLine set-up (which I am assuming is what you have) there are quite a lot of threads discussing upgrading the TV units etc in the system so it might be worth a good look around this forum for information regarding the differences between the units and to get to know the system as a whole.

Check in the spare wheel area for any water ingress, just in case this is the root cause of your issue.
