Engine management light.?

Hi all i have my father in law's rover 75 mk2 05 plate conniseur se cdti staying with me at the moment as he's on holiday driving it today the engine management light flashes on and off intermittently,idea's anyone? other than this it drives great,not as good as my contemporary though.:lol:

Try the plug on the top of Fuel Filter as that causes it to come on if bad connection also the whole "top" unit on Fuel Filter often causes this.

You could try the Battery off reset remembering Radio Codes if required and if Sat Nav fitted follow the proper shut down procedure.

Number of things can cause it to come on even the MAF!

But as not permanent yet and if not switching to a limp home mode she should be OK for now.
Try getting a code reader on it just in case
or better still on a T4 (Test-book).

Had a look John and yup the fuel filter itself was loose in the bracket probably pulling on the connectors tightened up and a quick spray of wd40 all ok now,thanks for pointing me in the right direction.:lol:
