Strange Locking

While waiting for the ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke, I noticed that the back passenger side door lock acted a bit sluggish and did not fully unlock the door.
So I used the centre switch to rapidly lock/unlock the doors and see if this could free up the mechanism or if a drop of WD40 was needed.
Strangely, after a number of rapid lock/unlock cycles, a beep occured and the car ceased to lock using the inside switch.
Was able to lock and unlock the car using the fob, though.
Now comes the fun part: unlocking unlocked ALL doors on the first fob press, not only the driver's door as expected...

How come?

Hi Karsten has it affected your speed related door locking at all, what year is your model?

Well, the locks now work properly. I will apply a few drops of WD40 just to be sure.
My 75 is a late 99 model.
