How accurate is the service interval reading on the IPK? I have one of the Bermudan with 6,900 miles on the clock and the IPK says oil service due at 7,400. I understood that this service was due at 10,000.

Is the accuracy effected by fitting a Ron Box?

Thanks

Service interval is 15K miles or 1 year. The countdown will vary slightly according to your driving style.

The service indicator is only relevant to cars doing over 15K per year. Rather than servicing annually/15K, the system assesses the optimal service point by looking at the type of driving you do. If it's a stressful type of driving, the countdown will be more rapid than the odometer shows. If you do mainly motorwar cruising, the rate is slower. That could mean the service is recommended at more than 15K on the odometer. So, you should service it at the zero point. At the service, the indicator should be reset to 15K.

Cars doing less than 15K a year should be serviced every 12 months and the service indicat can be ignored because it's redundant.
