hi all in response to my last message regarding what type of oil, i have put tescos on brand 5w40 in my car, and am wandering will this do anything to the car.

I would be inclined to change more often, but I can't see it being a problem. I use Halfords own brand.

If your car is a 190, the spec should be 10/40W ACEA A3
and other V6's should be 10/40W ACEA A2:96
