Having had loads of experience with NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- dual mass flywheels on various cars, I had my last tdi golf converted to single mass and it was a dozen times better.
Does anyone make them for the zt/75?
Just for future referance.

As far as I know a few people suggested it but nobody tried yet. I personally don't consider it as a good idea, the DMF acts like a shock absorber, in lack of it this job goes to the gearbox.

In a previous thread someone described how this had been done to a Mundano, with the result that the crankshaft snapped shortly afterwards.
My DMF was still fine after 110k when the clutch went, though I replaced it while in bits as a precaution, as I want another 100k of problem free motoring. I wish.
