Has anyone got a picture of or could tell me what the interior sensor looks like as i would like to know if i have them fitted. There is a plastic thing with what looks like vents in it attached to the roof lining in the centre of the car. Is this it and if not what is it?

If i remember correctly, the vents in the front interior lights are not alarm sensors, they were where microphones for an optional in car telephone system were to be located. This option was never marketed i dont think. The sensors for the alarm were fitted either in the centre of the headlining by the rear interior light or on the drivers side door pillar............they were usually pyramid shaped

There are two types,
The earlier one is above the Seatbelt housing columns at tops of.
The newer one is a Box in centre of Roof or just behind the Sunroof if fitted.

The slots in Lamp cluster at front are as stated the microphone for the Sat Nav Navigation subscribed system (SmartNav).

As an earlier poster said, they were designed for the integrated phone system that never went on sale, and then were used for the Smartnav later.

Also as said above there are two types. The one shown above is the later type. The earlier ones look like this:

They are not as listed 'audible warning speakers' but the ultrasonic sensor.

I'm pretty sure they were the same across every model, and for 3 squids I'm going to find out.

Sorry, my text under the picture should have read..

Sensor for the Volumetric alarm.

This sensor triggers the alarm by changes of the air pressure [movement] in the cabin.
