I fitted new front brake pads about a month ago, all ok with regards to stopping but have noticed that when drivng over cobbled streets there is a rattle coming from the front of the car and when the brakes are applied at slow speed there is a "click" as if there is some movement on the pads. I have taking pads off again and can't see any obvious problems, retaining springs are ok and the pads are a snug fit. Any advice would be appreciated as I am driving down to Norfolk on Saturday and am little bit worried with regards to the noise.

Just a wee update the rattling /clicking noise was found to be caused by a loose inner brake pad on passenger side, there was about 2mm movement in the caliper which caused the pad to move when the brakes were applied. Replaced pads and all is ok now.
