passenger fuse compartment

Good Evening Folks
I want to wire my auto dimming mirror in as per the guide posted by Wutang, but instead of using the cigar lighter for power and the reversing lights at the back I was wondering if it is ok to pick up the circuits for these two items in the fuse compartment and tap into them there.It seems a lot easier as the wiring can then route up the A-pillar rather than running wires from the back of the car under carpets etc.Are there any issues with using this method ?

Yep easy fuse 23 supplies power to the reversing lamps and obviously taking a wire from the lamp side of the reverse light switch will give a switched supply
In fact running two wires one to either side of the switch will provide both!

Thanks Keith,
I was just going to use the reverse light switch fuse for the dimming suspend function on the mirror, I never thought of using it for power also.
