Hi
Had a set of the after market side sills fitted to my ZT last summer.
Anyway about 3 times now ive found a mysterious water leak in the foot well behind the drivers seat.
Had it in garage a couple of times but couldnt find it. Was in for a service yesterday and they had another look, ran water over all obvious places.... nothing.
Anyway today the water has managed to find its way in.
Self and mechanic are fairly sure its down to the after market sills, as when took off the original slim sill trim and replaced with the side skirts not all of the holes were used to remount, also as it was a favor / foreigner by a mate just clipped them on one night and away i went. Dont have much contact with him now so feel a bit cheeky going back and asking him to sort, plus had to wait an age to get them painted and fit in first place.
I think the water is maybe eventually finding its way through one of the holes.
Dont suppose any one knows what kind of panel clip was used to hold the after market sill or the original chrome sill trim on a 75 (painted on ZT) in place.
Mechanic does want to remove incase clips snap and cant replace.
