I need help, I've a rattle on the dash which sounds as if it's coming from the storage space above the radio or from the air vent to the left of centre.
Has anybody had and managed to fix this annoying if not embarrassing rattle ?
Many Thanks in advance

Tim

Could this be the culprit?

Mine has just started, but it seems more behind the speedo area

In the last few days I've noticed a rattle in the area you mention it seems to stop if I move the thumb turn dial below the clock a smidgin.

My BCU buzzed like mad at around 2000 rpm and was driving me up the wall it is one of those little jobs worth doing even if you don't have the problem yet

Given the choice, I'd prefer the rattle to "drops off"!:laughing2:

Hi all I agree partly with alex about the cold some of my rattles were due to cold air when useing aircon, now its colder and turning the heating up a bit a lot of the rattles in dash have disapeared, also my steering wheel ajustment was creaking so just loosened it off a bit, my headrests front and rear are chattering as well havent found a cure yet.

I thought that it was just me!

I have tried every thing!

Its just my passangers - but i can move the seat just rite and it stops?

Take it you got leather too? think its just a down side to leather seats.

Have had another look at my headrests there is only one lock on one side other side is not a good fit, so have tried a high tech repair useing sellotape on the side without lock it just tightens things up a bit (see pic) seems to work so far, dosnt show in my case because headrests are always in the down position, I think it needs something other than sellotape though as i am sure it wont last long.

Alex dont you ever tell anyone i tried a repair on a Rover useing sellotape :box:

What about my dreaded Air sound on poss the passengrs side any ideas ?

I have

1..Taped the window up/the door/Vents/screen inside and out, pulled mirror inchecked roof black runners/door trim and chrome strpies and still at 40 + I hear this whoosing sound, funny thing it it stops dead at 30mph and under esp hen coming to a stop, various people have suggested the thing above, it still drives me mad, it is a sort of sound that you would hear if the window was down a few inchs, but the window sits firm ???
