Hi folks

Someone asked me today what my 75 cost new, and I realised I didn't actually know.

It's a 2.0 V6 Club SE manual on an 02 plate.
Speckle velor seats
Came with harmony radio casette
16 inch union alloys
Folding rear seat

Does anyone know what it sold for new?

Cheers
Chris

Hi Mate,

I beleive that Model when released was £21530 for 2002 52 reg & £19580 on 2002 02 Reg. Quite a difference in 6 Months. Hope this helps. All Models dropped by up to £1000 in 2003.

Cheers

Lucky you!
In Denmark there is 180% registration tax and 25% VAT on all automobiles.
A Rover 45 1.8 sold at £22,500, a Rover 25 1.4 sold at £ 17,000 and my Rover 75 2.0 CDTi Conn. SE was priced at £62,000 (not what I ended up paying though).

If any one is interested I do have the full UK Price Listings for all Years/Models, it will take me some time to type it all up, (On all the different Brochures so can't scan them) but if the interest is there....

As JohnDotCom says. The on the road price for a 2.0 V6 Club Se at
the start of the 02 Reg was £19580 your Folding rear seat was an
extra £175 the other items were included in the price..
At the end of the 02 Reg. the O.T.R. price had risen to £19715 plus the
extra £175 for the Folding rear seat..
A discount of approx. £2000 was not difficult to get at this time..
Phil.. Your 75 would have cost.£19715 plus £325 for multichanger
plus £450 fo metallic paint..

I'd definitely be interested in this - would make for a good piece of reference material for the forums.

Half a tank of fuel...so you could just about get home then.:D

Seriously, you have a fantastic car for the money, I presume that is the price after the second set of plates are fitted;) :D

In July 2004 I paid £18400 for my 75.. It just shows. I thought
I had got a great deal. A discount of £5400.Including a three
year warranty.. The warranty lasted less than a year.. But the car has been great. I hope to keep it for a few more years..

It was indeed Neil :D I did manage to get home on half a tank (65 miles) but we had to hoist a sail out of the sunroof, roll down all the hills in neutral and push it the last 2 miles :laughing2: Oh well splice the main brace Mr Christian!

Hi Mike

I don't think so. We may have a slightly higher income than some countries, but we also have the highest tax bracket in the World! An average income tax of 50% up to 64% if you are "lucky" to have a high income ie. £100.000 p.a. I am still wondering what I am doing here:)
I think minimum wages are around £1.300 month less taxes. VAT is 25%.
But we have a good sense of humor:)

To all you lucky new 75 owners who are buying very fine cars
for a fraction of the new price. I know they have in the motor
trade jargon been "pre owned" but spare a thought for the
many of us who bought brand new.. I know I looked after my
previous 75s and sometimes I wish I could see them again and
talk to the new owners. To see how they are now being looked after..
Here is a picture of two of my previous 75s.. The one on the left is
a 1.8 Club auto Cowley built in 2000.Cost £15500..The one on right
a Connoisseur se 2.0cdt auto Hi line sat nav..Built at Longbridge in 2001 Cost £23550.. The picture was taken on changover day at

Hi Grey Ghost
Your right they look the same car..but the one on the left
is a 75 Club in Arden Green. The one on the right is Connoisseur SE
in British Racing Green. .I took the picture because you do not often see
two cars with the same reg. Especially Rover 75's..
