Help Please

Can anyone help me.........i cant select gears on my diesel connie but its driving ok if i put it in gear then start up, it gives the impression that its low on fluid but there is no reservoir that i can see.
As this is my first 75 im at a loss what it could be or what to do about it, hope someone can advise me.

Hi,the clutch mastercylinder is just above the clutch pedal beneath the dash,you need to remove the cardboard cover that conceals the underneath workings of the pedals etc.The clutch fluid resevoir has a diaphragm in it which may need cutting to access the fluid,always worth topping up and giving a bleed,hopefully it will not be a leaking slave cyl which requires gearbox removal!:}

sadly it has the exact same symptoms as my car had...just before the slave cylinder (in the gearbox)expired they are cheap on ebay

For Bullet's information, am I right in thinking that the freelander TD4 slave cylinder will fit and is more reliable than the original 75 one?

Thanks to all who replied.....beloved connie now at the local rover specialist, just waiting for their report, have been advised that may need to have master, slave and clutch kit replaced so currently waiting for the bad news, and having nightmares about the costs.
Will keep you all posted on progress

Well chaps finally got my beloved connie back where she belongs.....Clutch master and slave cylinders both u/s and required replacing...at the grand price of £712.78 with the labour included.
Also now got reversing lights and sensors and while they were putting the cylinder on the clutch pedal i got them to connect the wire up for cruise control so now all working....Happy Dayz.
Would also like to thank the members of the club who were singing the praises of the AA Repair Insurance, thanks to you all i also purchased this and i have to say its brilliant, they authorised the repairs very promptly and then picked up £475.00 of the repair bill, if you havent got this invaluable insurance......WHY NOT lol.
