Ok i need to replace my front tyres on my ZT CDI, the rears are 235/40/18 and the fronts which need replacing are 225/40/18.

Should i replace them with the same size or should i fit the same size as the rears?

To complicate it further, the correct (factory) size is 225/45/18.

ok the easiest would be for me to replace them with the same size that is on the rears 235/40/18 will this be ok?

Will it cause any problems fitting these to the front? has anyone got this size fitted to the front?

if it was me i would go with what the car was designed with. I had 235 on the rear of mine and it skips out all over the show......never again

I have had no problems with the tyres on the rear it handles great to be honest.

I would prefer them to be all the same size , so unless the rears are due to be replaced soon I would make the front the same :}
If the rears are to be replaced soon , then you have a chance to make them all to standard spec :shrug:

get good chunky tyres,low profile ruin the comfort and look, the bigger the tyre the nicer it fill the arches

225/40 zr 18's fitted to my 11 spokes, the last set of tyres were 45's,but i find the car handles better with the 40's and also they set the wheels off better... and they are cheaper :shrug:
