As per here (http://tuning-diesels.com/75Zt/R75tu3.htm#BI).

Can't find any more info on it, and Ron has lost the part number.

What sort of improvement (in BHP) are we looking at, and how the devil does one fit it? No problem paying to get it fitted... if it makes a decent difference.

:laughing2:I bought one ages ago, could not fit it, have not seen it for months, no idea when or where I saw it last. I reckon Mr Tickle fits them but I do not have his number.

I've been trying to get hold of one of these ever since I fitted my synergy 2, over 18 months ago. Emailed and messaged Ron about it but still not had any luck. Would still like to fit one so if you have any luck tracking some down then I'd be grateful if you;d let me know mate. :)

Does this mean you can attach one Chris  if so I will buy another, and what do you charge

Errrmmm, the honest answer is that i dont know, having not managed to get hold of one I've not had the chance to try. I understand they are a little tricky to fit though. Do you know where to get hold of these springs then?

I've got one somewhere it came with my synergy.

I've tried 2 times to fit it when the cars up on a lift and given up both times.

you need to grow 2 extra elbows to stand a chance !! :D

Not much chance of me doing my own then. Probably just as well I've not managed to source one as yet or there would have been much frustration and cursing! :D

And from Mr Ron himself:

The boost spring ins't available at present as I've lost the part no. so can't reorder any.

You can fit a BCV (boost control valve) available from GB Enterprises (google for them)

Regards
Ron

Has anyone ever fitted one of these?

Would be interested in one myself once I have got to the bottom of my lack of performance problem.

Im guessing that the Boost control fits onto the vacume hose on the turbo?

I looked and had a read through, couldn't find a price though. Wonder how easily they are fitted?

£45.00 inclusive of VAT - rather more than just a spring!

Giving the accesibility of the turbo im thinking that it won't be that straight forward to fit unless you have a ramp.

Hmmm, thats quite a bit of money to pay for something that I might not eve be able to fit. i wonder how much of a difference we would see if it was fitted.

I did some looking around for information and apparently you see the benefit over 2200rpm, so it does'nt help low down torque, it is also advised to use a method to measure boost before and after to ensure that your don't over do it so unless you have a tool to do this add the cost of a boost gauge on

I have managed to get to the turbo with the undertray off and the car jacked up, not a recommended approach! There is a braided pipe that come off the turbo which I guess the boost value plumbs into,

If it was around £25 it would be worth a try but £45 is a bit steep.

Looks and sounds straight forward enough. If I could get one of the springs then I'd certainly give it a go. But probably wont bother purchasing one of the valves for £45. :(

They look to be an home made job, just ports soldered into an off the shelf valve. I think you could buy the bits to make one from the likes of Thorite Pneumatics for £5.

The spring looks quite similar to one of those you used to see on those old steel angle framed metal mesh beds, for the matress to be laid upon.

A lot smaller. It's only about the same diameter as a pencil.

Subtle bump...

While I had the undertray off today I finally "found" the turbo and I now understand why it's a bitch to get to... however I love a challenge!

Again, if anyone has the spring, or knows where I could get one - I'm more than happy to pay, of course.

And of course the obligatory picture (click for massive JPEG (http://i.imgur.com/dn4Hx.jpg) - the red line is where it'd need to go)

I've considered fitting a bleed valve etc, but I'm not exactly sure where it'd connect to?

Wow that turbo is so teeny tiny!!
