Hello
I'm contemplating changing my filtered PCV for a BMW filterless one. Been quoted £35-45.

Have we got any How to's on here please

Thanks

is what you are looking for.

It doesn't take long to get to - it might be worth checking the one you have fitted - before spending money on a replacement. Mine was in good condition and the filter cleaned up quite well, so I just refitted my old unit.

A word of warning.

If you decide you have to remove the injector return pipes to give more access, take great care not to strain the plastic T pieces on top of each injector, secured by a clip. This is the thin pipe daisy chained across the top of the injectors with small plastic T pieces joining the small pipes together (the standard Bosch arrangment apparently) These plastic connectors brittle with age and can break (guess how I know :) ).

If the worst happens, the pipe assembly is available new - you have to buy the whole assembly. Around £20 IIRC,
