Help to identify this box please..

Mounted directly behind my Hi-line radio/nav head unit, in a plastic bracket was a plastic box marked ' Lear Corporation - Switch Interface Module' and the number YWQ100031.

I think it is the interface for the steering wheel switches - can anyone please confirm this and confirm whether it is IR or a wired type?

I had to move the box and the bracket in order to install the Radioguy DD unit and my next trick is to sort out the steering wheel buttons for it - which seem to cause everyone else so much trouble.

Thanks to both, so I might possibly not even need that unit at all for my new DD installation. There is much about the 75 to still get my head around :D
