hello can the pollen fiter be cleaned or must it be replaced and if so can it be purchased from halfords or must it be a mg specialist cheers mark

Generally replaced, but mine had not suffered any damp was not that bad - so rather than chase around for a replacement I gave it a quick bath and quick dry.

I simply used a bit of Fairy liquid, warm water to get the worst off followed by a good rinse under hot water until it ran clean. Blew most of the water off with an air gun and then left to dry in a hot sun. Left to soak for too long and it will almost certainly disintegrate.

mgrover recommended changing these every two years,keeps the cabin free of unwanted odours..they soon change colour to black,shows how effective they are.

Or, for better airflow and less whiffs, take it out and leave it out. I suffer from hay fever, and taking it out made no real difference to me.
