new expansion tank cap ,would I get one from BMW dealer or if not where ? Suppose Rimmers do 'em but always find them a tad on the expensive side !

have a look on the bay, or even in the local scrappers, i dont think thay are too bad on ebay.

bmw caps are exactly the same, but are rated at a higher pressure, so i wouldnt personally put this onto the bottle, as it will hold a higher pressure than the system was designed to.
