Hello Everyone

I am very pleased to announce that I have managed to negotiate a 10% discount for members at Horners in Manchester on all servicing and repairs.

We also have an offer on MOT’s at £39.95 or £35 with a service.

The garage has had very favourable reviews from people on this and other forums who have taken their MG’s and Rovers there so please support them in the future. They are all qualified ex-MG/Rover technicians and have T4 diagnostics equipment on site.

You need to be a subscribed member to take advantage of this offer and are required to show your membership card on arrival at the garage to receive your discount. So if you have not done so yet please support the club and Horners by subscribing.

The address and contact details for the garage are:

Member 'Warrensmall' PM'd me this morning and asked me to post regarding the excellent service he has received from Horners.

Here is his message.......

'Hi this is a belated thank you for speaking to Horner’s for me, the job was done great and I would like to also thank you for getting a 10% discount. Can I ask a big favour, I would like to ask, could you put a post up to show a how pleased i am with them because I can’t. (This would be much appreciated as they really deserve the recognition) I cannot say how great they are. It’s just little things that make a difference as my bulb went in the car, I got a bulb from Aldi and they fitted it for free.:D

Thank you Richard, I would certainly recommend people to go there. They are great and know the cars like the back of their hands. Also their work is spot on, I had my cambelt done and I must say my car is running spot on. :}

Yes, Horners definitely recommended by me as well - they changed my auto box fluid on a Saturday morning at sheort notice and also obtained and programmed a duplicate key for my 75 CDT. Brilliant service and excellent customer care.

Got a new clutch slave cylinder (made sense to get a new clutch fitted too whilst they were about it) fitted by Horners last week. An unexpected bill but at least Horners were very competitive on price (even compared to non specialist independents & fast fit centres) and they did an excellent job at short notice with a 2yr clutch warranty so I'm very pleased with their service.

They gave me a 5% discount as opposed to the 10% discount quoted in this thread as apparently this offer was on the understanding of some advertising (banner possibly?) on this website which doesn't appear to be visible.

Not sure who could sort this for them so that forum members can enjoy a 10% discount in future?

That's news to me  I'm not sure what arrangement Richard made with them, but I believe from reading his posts, the 10% was supposed to be for subscribed members on presentation of their membership card, so the fact that you were able to obtain 5% is excellent news

They do have a listing in the club's dealer locator however which can be found here

I had mine serviced and MOTed in July with them and they gave me my 10% discount. Good job they did too changed the gearbox oil, drive belts, MOT and all for under £280 I didn't think that was a bad deal.:)

They are quite handy for me so it's reassuring to know there's a garage you can trust around who are also friendly and competitive on price.

I suspect they'll be getting some work from me when the need arises.

I took the car to horners regarding the ongoing problem with electric windows. 5 minutes later they swapped the driver cluster for another and it works. Turns out old one has short somewhere. I asked how much for the fix and part and the guy said I could have it no charge.
I refused the free part so I gave him a tenner for his trouble.
wonderful customer service and help.
I will be visiting them when needs arise again for sure.
