Which alternator can I use in my CDT?

Hello,

After stooping 20 times on a 350 miles long trip to bang on the alternator to get the slipring going again, I decided, it was about time to replace the alternator (I kinda ruined it banging it).

Will any 75/ZT alternator do or do I need to get specific to the CDT?

The alternator is specific to the M47 diesel only.

TD4 Freelander will NOT fit either as it has a different connector.

Try ringing about for a refurb of your one? Maybe cheaper and sometimes you can get the windings uprated etc

If so maybe you could just get the armature slip rings replaced.
