earth strap

Can anyone help please? I've found a disconnected earth strap next to the offside strut top mount. One end is attached to the body, other end hanging loose. It's not very long (around 200mm) but I can't see any bolt within range on the engine. It was connected before as there are marks on the brass ring terminal. I'm vaguely hoping it may be related to an ongoing misfire but that's probably wishful thinking. Still, ought to connect somewhere?

It bolts to the rear of the head on a 1.8 or to the black stabiliser cross member on top of the mount on a V6

as above, you have a 1.8 so if you look at the engine it attatches to the rear left back side of the head

Ok, I see it now. The bolt was missing so I didn't notice the hole. Thanks. :)
