Buzzing noise under back seat o/s.

HI members, noticed a faint buzzing on car this morning is this normal as i do have some starting and hesitation issues, never heard these cars buzz before, others yes but not the rover/mg.
Any suggestions please.

Thanks, am puzzled tho because it only messes around on starting and under 3000rpm no loss of power up the rev range and will pull round to the red line in all gears would it do that if the pump was failing.

Ok, just come in and sat there with engine ticking over and noticed a faint tapping noise from inlet man, i fitted 2 new vis boxs 2 days ago and the hesitation is getting worse.

Just took of power vis pulled arm over to drivers wing and refitted noise gone but still hesitant as . help :banghead:

It's unusual for the petrol pump to fail. Are you saying the buzz isn't actually from where you thought (rear seat area)?

Hi t-cut, the buzzing is definatly the pump, but the noise is very slight and i dont think its at fault, no probs under power. engine just very hesitant up to 3000 rpm now.
