Hi its coming up to a big service where the timing belts need doing. I have been quoted £680 for this to be done plus all the other usual service items included.
How does this sound ?
Does anyone know of anywhere, anyone in essex area that would do it ?

Wow... The difference in the part of the country that you live is astounding... I had my 1.8 which suffered h/g failure done by Jason Partridge former Landrover Technician with year of experience,.. Some may know of him off the OS.....MLS upgraded gasket, new bolts new improved oil rail..new belt, water pump, flushing and refilling including OAT anti-freeze + new oil.....£350.....That included coming to my house to carry out this work + 12months guarantee or 12000 miles Warranty....Poppy.

Its almost worth my while to move to your area then :)
I didnt think it would be this costly, although i have only asked at the one place so far.

The price is ok, as long as that includes a thermostat kit and water pump too
